I love the solitude and majesty of nature. And I love photographing creation in all her beauty! I've been taking photographs of one kind or another for over 40 years. Sure the technology has changed, but my passion has not. Professional photography is not my "day job," but rather something I just love to do. My interest as a photographer is to present the wonders of God—to glimpse the beauty that is God’s world and share it with others.
I received my B.A. in Professional Photography (Motion Picture/Video major) from the acclaimed Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, and my Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Over the years I've shot with everything from a Kodak Instamatic to a Minolta 110 to a 4x5 field camera. My first SLR was a Minolta X-370, and then I joined the Nikon family starting with a N6006, followed by a N8008s, N90s, and N80. My first digital body (DSLR) was a D70, followed by the D200, D300, D750. I'm currently using the Nikon Z 6. But in a quote attributed to Ansel Adams, "the best camera is the one you have with you."
